Chicory Root: Cichorium Intybus of the Compositae family Chicory is also know by the name succor.
Chicory is used counteract the caffeine stimulation. It is safe and has much less effect on the nervous system and the heart than caffeine rich coffee. Chicory is usually mix with regular coffee. Chicory can also be mixed with dandelion root. It is a mild tonic, diuretic, and laxative.
Chicory root is believed to protect the liver and act as a counter stimulant to the effects of excessive coffee drinking.
I have been selling my herbs and teas to the public since the 1970’s and have never used chemicals of any sort on any of my herbs. My herbs are grown as nature intended. I harvest and dry all my herbs. I do NOT use the heat method to dry my herbs.
