Ginger tea was a favorite in the old days. A warming tea for chills caused by dampness or cold weather. Also used to calm an upset stomach. It helps keep the colon clean and fights colitis. Ginger tea can be used for morning sickness (no more than one cup per day, large dose is not advised) and reducing hot flashes.
Ginger is also used for hangovers, Medicinally used as a stimulant, carminative; useful for dispepsia; gastroporesis, constipation and decreases pain of arthritis. Ginger may also have blood thinning and cholesterol lowering properties. Ginger is very safe for children. Ginger rivals codeine and its strong expectorant and antihistamine actions help thin bronchial mucus and move it up and out of the system.
Lemon is used for colds, pain resulting from headaches, stomach problems, abdominal cramps and rheumatic conditions.
Adverse: not for individuals with ulcers; inflammatory bowel disease, blocked intestines, gallstones.
I have been selling my herbs and teas to the public since the 1970’s and have never used chemicals of any sort on any of my herbs. My herbs are grown as nature intended. I harvest and dry all my herbs. I do NOT use the heat method to dry my herbs.
