Stinging Nettle Leaf Herb Tea (Urtica dioica, often called common nettle or stinging nettle)
Nettle or Stinging Nettle, as it is also known as, is an alternative, antiseptic, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, galactagogue, hermostatic, nutritive, and tonic.
Nettle Leaf tea is rich in antioxidants. According to livestrong. Com :, "Nettle tea is widely used in Europe to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, also known as BPH, a condition where the prostate gland becomes enlarged. This enlargement can cause reduced urinary flow, dripping after urination, a constant need to urinate and difficulty fully emptying the bladder." Nettle leaf increases the flow of urine, shrinks inflamed tissues, helps the blood to circulate and purifies the blood.
Stinging nettle contains natural antioxidants that protect your body from damage from toxins and free radicals, which can cause cell death. Nettle leaves contains high levels of phenolic compounds.
Nettle can also be used for inflammation, gout and rheumatism. As an astringent, nettle helps stop bleeding. Nettle tea is gentle enough for children that are anemic to drink. Nettle leaf tea helps with diarrhea and dysentery.
According to my older herb books, Nettle Leaf can be beneficial during pregnancy. It is a mineral rich nutritive herb with vitamin K to guard against excessive bleeding. It improves kidney function and help prevent hemorrhoids.
Available as nettle leaves and nettle root
I don’t offer any gifts (that you might not even appreciate :)) or other gimmicks to get you to purchase my herbal items. I do have many years of herbal knowledge and use only the safest herbs. My formulas are not just a bunch of herbs thrown together, and, all of my herbal items that I offer are hand blended and made up at the time of the order.
I have been selling my herbs and teas to the public since the 1970’s and have never used chemicals of any sort on any of my herbs. My herbs are grown as nature intended. I harvest and dry all my herbs. I do NOT use the heat method to dry my herbs.
Please note: regarding my teas and herbs that I sell; although I personally have benefited from the use of herbs and, people years ago relied on herbs to help heal them or make them feel better, these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition.
