Sage (Salvia officinalis) Sage can be used as a culinary and medicinal herb. This is the plain, ol' green sage. Sage is traditionally used in cooking to cut the fatty taste of foods as sausages, duck, liver, and meat pies. And who doesn't use it in stuffing for turkey!
Other good info about Sage: Sage has a positive effect on how your body uses insulin. Studies have shown that Sage has the ability to boost insulin activity in diabetics. Those with type 2 diabetes found Sage to be quite effective. Sage alone or as a tea is also known for its positive effect on liver function. A liver that is not functioning at its best can lead to headaches, fatigue, and reduced immunity.
Sage is useful for menopause because of its estrogenic action and helps with night sweats.

Sold as whole leaf or rubbed. Whole leaf may have some stems, no debris and is the whole, uncrumbled sage. This will be shipped in a box to avoid damage during shipping. I have ONLY 5 OUNCES (whole leaf) in all. So, you will see that you can order EITHER by the ounce or the 4 ounces, but, not both.
Also, I have 4 ounces of sage leaf that got crumbled, but not considered rubbed, so, I'm just calling it crumbled
I have been selling my herbs and teas to the public since the 1970’s and have never used chemicals of any sort on any of my herbs. My herbs are grown as nature intended. I harvest and dry all my herbs. I do NOT use the heat method to dry my herbs.
